Potato Supply, Packing and Logistics
At R S Cockerill, our business is truly vertically integrated, operating across multiple sectors of the supply chain and providing customers with complete traceability from seed to supply.
We are fresh potato pre-packers, supplying the retail sector, foodservice and food manufacturing industries. Alongside our fresh operations, we deliver a complete vendor assured supply chain service to the crisping industry - from supplying the initial seed potatoes to our growers, through to delivering the finished crop to processing factories. This is all supported by rigorous crop monitoring, store management, and quality control procedures throughout growing and storage.
Farming remains at the heart of everything we do. In addition to a herd of cattle and combinable crops, we grow significant areas of both seed and ware potatoes across Yorkshire. Our vertically integrated structure means we are best placed to understand the challenges our growers face whilst strengthening our customers supply lines.
In addition, to support the service we provide, we operate our own dedicated transport fleet, allowing us to maintain flexibility and reliability throughout the supply chain. By managing logistics in-house, we are able to monitor progress and keep our customers informed every step of the way..
Quality and people are central to everything we do. People do business with people, and we pride ourselves on the long-standing relationships we have built with our growers and customers over many decades – we have been doing business with generations of farmers!
